From Global Affairs to Humanitarian- Vivi Kieffer interviews Michael Bociurkiw for Aletheia Human

When I met him, I knew I had seen him before. Was it in an airplane?

An extrovert, eyes full of sparks, and gentleman, Michael looked familiar.

It is not until I did my research for this interview that I understood where I saw him before. Michael was one of the leading reporters of the Malaysian MH17 flight that crashed in Ukraine. From Ukrainian origins, Michael has had a vibrant life, journalist, and spokesperson for UNICEF and OSCE.

Michael was one of the leading reporters of the Malaysian MH17 flight that crashed in Ukraine. From Ukrainian origins, Michael has had a vibrant life, journalist, and as a spokesperson for UNICEF and OSCE.

He says his life has been marked by crucial moments: Chernobyl nuclear disaster, the terrorist attacks of 9-11, the crash of the plane MH17, and now the COVID 19 Pandemic.

At every one of these moments in history, he thought life would not ever be as before.

He was right; the "new normal" would settle in, many years later. However, with COVID 19, "life as usual", seems not to be an option anymore. So what will the "new normal" look afterward?

In this interview, Michael wonders what we should do as Human Beings.

He will share his unique life experiences, feelings, and insights on what we need to foster as a community.

To recover from this unprecedented crisis, Michael will give his solutions. A little hint: we are not as invincible as we thought we were.
